I just come upon a great illustrator via Instagram this morning, Studio Doeke. Doeke lives in the Netherlands and makes bold choices in imagery and subject matter, yet still has an approachable yet adorably off-beat sensibility. I really am drawn to this balance of simple shapes with layered pencil textures, blurring the line between digital and hand-drawn. Check out his site for more!
