Greetings! My name is Rachel Ritchie - but please call me "Rae" for short! I'm an illustrator and pattern surface designer based in beautiful (but often chilly) Minneapolis, MN, United States. I am greatly inspired by nature, vintage children's books, fables and faery tales. My main focus is working with clients in the quilting, home, apparel, and paper industries, suppling licensed art or creating custom graphics and repeat prints for use in product development. I also love editorial and publishing work!

Clients include Los Angeles Times, Dear Stella Design, Oopsy Daisy, Workman Publishing, Peter Pauper Press, Calypso, The Boston Globe, Where the Polka Dots Roam, Sellers Publishing, Design House Greetings, Manhattan Toy Company, American Greetings, and more!

I am always looking for new clients to collaborate with, and would love to hear from you! Please contact my agent Jennifer Nelson for inquires!

"Rae Ritchie is the real deal! She has consistently blown me away with her responsiveness, attention to detail and level of professionalism. She is a rare gem that can kill it with design and also offer superior customer service seamlessly.  She is a pro at listening to our scattered ideas and delivering a finished product that exceeds our wildest dreams.  As a business owner that is constantly analyzing our spending and trying to make sure we are controlling our costs, I greatly appreciate her transparency and accuracy when it comes to setting timelines, establishing a budget and following through.  She has become a true ally, business partner and friend.  Don't hesitate. This girl will knock your socks off."

"Rae Ritchie is a talented, inspired and dynamic artist.  Her designs are a fresh and unique and her color palette is right on trend, but also rooted and classic.  She has been such a pleasure to work with and feels just like a member of the team.  She’s professional and efficient, gets her work in on time and delivers everything she promises.  I always look forward to seeing her new designs, and I love that she takes chances and evolves with changing times and seasons.  She also seems to react to sales information, turning on a dime to gear her style more toward her end user.  Rae is such a great addition to our brand, I only wish I could clone her! "
